So after months of silence and inactivity, finally gotten off my arse and bought myself the digital SLR I've been after for a while. Ended up going for the Canon EOS 450D, which so far seems to be all I was after. Still getting my head around a lot of the features, but already quite pleased with the quality of the shots it's producing.
And for those of you who want to know how the foot's doing... I'm walking now with a limp, but without any sticks/crutches etc, which is kind of a relief. Working now as well as tech support, so spend my whole day having to persuade people they really have lost their data, and no, we couldn't recover it for them for free...
Other than that life's going ok, joined a gym (which I'm not going to as much as I should, but hey, it's a start), brewing my own beer and taking photo's.
May not be the life I once had, but it's a step in the right direction
